"Ball Fielding" Drill

This drill will teach your infielders how to field the ball quickly and throw the ball accurately.

Let's take the shortstop for instance. The coach will hit him the ball; the shortstop will then charge the ball, field it, and then throw it home. As the player is fielding the ball the catcher will roll another grounder to him, and the player will then field it as fast as he can and throw the ball to first base.

The drill helps you work on getting the ball out of your glove quickly while making a good throw to first base.
